Changed Your Mind? 14 Days to Cancel
If you're a UK customer buying for personal use, you can cancel your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason. This includes our made-to-order downlights where you've chosen from our standard options (wattage, CRI, beam angle, driver and finish).
- Email contact@maisonbillions.com with your order number to tell us you're cancelling.
- Send the items back within 14 days of telling us.
- Items must be unused, uninstalled and in their original packaging.
- You pay the cost of returning the items to us.
- We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving the items back, to your original payment method.
If items have been installed, wired or handled more than needed to inspect them, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.
Cancelling Before Production
You can cancel free of charge at any time before your order goes into production. Just email us with your order number and we'll refund you in full.
Faulty or Damaged Items
Please check your order when it arrives. If anything is faulty, damaged or incorrect, email us with your order number and photos as soon as possible.
- Within 30 days of delivery you're entitled to a full refund for faulty items.
- After that, we'll repair or replace the item, or refund you if that isn't possible.
- Our warranty also covers you for 5 years on indoor fittings and 3 years on outdoor fittings, from the date of shipment.
We cover return costs for faulty or incorrect items.
Bespoke Orders
Items made specially for you outside our standard options, such as a custom finish or size agreed with you in writing, can't be cancelled once production has started, unless they are faulty.
Trade and Business Orders
Orders placed by businesses or on a trade account aren't covered by the 14-day cancellation right. Change-of-mind returns on trade orders are at our discretion. Faulty items are always covered.
Your Statutory Rights
None of this affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do you sell?
Premium recessed LED downlights for residential and hospitality interiors, with matching drivers. Every fitting is made to order in your choice of colour temperature, beam angle and finish.
Are your lights suitable for bathrooms and outdoors?
Yes, on the right models. Our IP44 and IP54 downlights suit kitchens and bathrooms, and the IP65 MNBS1721 is made for showers and exterior soffits. The IP rating is on every product page.
Do your products come with bulbs?
No bulbs needed. All our downlights have integrated LEDs. You choose the driver (non-dimmable, Triac, 0–10V or DALI) when you order.
How do I choose the right beam angle?
Use 36° for general room lighting, 15–24° for artwork, joinery and accents, and 50–60° for a soft, even wash. Designers are welcome to email plans to contact@maisonbillions.com for advice.
How do I know what size to buy?
Check the cut-out size and the ceiling void depth on each product page, and make sure your ceiling has room for the fitting and its driver.
What colour temperature should I choose?
- 2700K: warm and relaxed, for living rooms, bedrooms and hospitality
- 3000K: warm white, the most popular choice for homes and kitchens
- 4000K: neutral white, for workspaces and task areas
Dim-to-warm (1800–2700K) is available on our 10W and 13W models.
What does CRI 98 mean?
CRI measures how true colours look under a light, out of 100. At CRI 98 (lab-tested Ra 98.1), skin tones, timber, stone and fabrics look as they do in daylight. CRI 92 is standard; CRI 98 is available on every model.
Are your downlights fire-rated?
Not as standard. Where a fire-rated ceiling is required, install them with a tested intumescent fire hood. Fire-rated versions are in development.
Can I install the lights myself?
Our downlights are hardwired, so they should be installed by a qualified electrician.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Fittings are made to order in 8–10 weeks. The MNBS1721 in 3000K, 36°, white ships from UK stock.
Do you ship internationally?
UK delivery is free on every order. We also ship to the United States. For other countries, contact us for a quote.
What is your return policy?
UK customers buying for personal use can cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason. Items must be unused and in their original packaging, and you pay return postage. You can cancel free of charge before your order goes into production. Faulty items are fully covered. See our Returns and Cancellations page for details.
Is there a warranty?
Yes: 5 years on indoor fittings and 3 years on the outdoor MNBS1721, from date of shipment. It covers manufacturing defects.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Contact us as soon as possible. You can cancel free of charge before production begins, and orders can be changed until then.
Are your lights energy-efficient?
Yes. Every fitting is LED, drawing between 5W and 13W.
Do you offer trade pricing?
Yes. Interior designers, architects and contractors get trade pricing, IES files and samples. Email contact@maisonbillions.com to open a trade account.
How do I maintain and clean the lights?
Use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and water, especially on metal or electrical parts.
What should I do if my item arrives damaged?
Contact us right away with photos of the damaged product and packaging. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund promptly.
Are your lights compatible with smart home systems?
Choose a DALI or 0–10V driver and our downlights work with most smart home and building control systems.
